Day 1: Introduction to Mobile Photography & Commercial Fashion Photography

• Definition of Photography and its different types

• Overview of different fashion photographers and their styles

• Understanding the fashion industry and the role of a fashion photographer

• Technical aspects of fashion photography: camera settings, lighting, and equipment

Interactive Session: Students will participate in a photoshoot using natural light and learn how to set up the camera and lighting for a basic fashion shoot.

 

Day 2: Creating a Concept and Planning a Fashion Shoot

• Researching and developing a concept for a fashion shoot

• Understanding the importance of pre-production, including location scouting and casting models

• Developing a shot list and storyboard

• Collaboration with fashion stylist and makeup artist

Interactive Session: Students will work in teams to develop a concept for a fashion shoot and create a shot list and storyboard. They will then cast models and work with a stylist and makeup artist to prepare for the shoot the following day.

 

Day 3: Shooting and Post-Production & Networking 101

• Conducting a fashion shoot and executing the concept and shot list

• Reviewing images during the shoot and making adjustments

• Introduction to basic post-production techniques for fashion photography, including color correction and retouching

• Editing and selecting the final images for delivery

Interactive Session: Students will conduct a fashion shoot with the models, using the concept and shot list they developed on Day 2. They will review the images during the shoot and make adjustments as necessary. After the shoot, they will edit and retouch the images, selecting the final images for delivery.

 

Day 4: Building a Fashion Photography Portfolio & Assessment with CERTIFICATE DISTRIBUTION CEREMONY 

• Understanding the importance of a strong portfolio in the fashion photography industry

• Choosing the right images for a portfolio and understanding how to showcase them effectively

• Importance of social media to promote your work

• Basics of Networking and developing relationships within the fashion industry

Interactive Session: Students will present their final images and receive feedback from the instructor and their peers. They will learn how to choose the right images for their portfolio, build a website to showcase their work, and use social media to promote their photography. Finally, they will learn how to network and develop relationships within the fashion industry to advance their careers.
